Information Technology (or “IT”) has become a crucial part of every modern-day business, but with everything professionals already have on our plates, who has the time to learn the ins and outs of IT?  And even if you do find some time, where do you start?

Don’t worry! LenovoPRO Community has you covered with our Tech 101 series.

Tech 101 will introduce and explain some of the most common modern-day IT terms.  You know, those terms that you’ve heard from your IT person and pretended to understand while quietly panicking and reminding yourself to research it further at a later time?  Well, pat yourself on the back and consider this series the first step in that follow-up research!

This is something we want to avoidDevice as a service (DaaS) is as it sounds:  It’s the use of a certain device (whether phone, PC, even data center) that is paid for on a subscription basis.  Think of it like leasing a car, but for your business tech.Similarly, software as a service (SaaS) can be thought of as software on demand.  With SaaS, you get a business service delivered to you via the web and billed on a subscription basis.  Allows easy access for employees wherever they are.Finally, one of the most popular terms in business technology:  The Cloud.  Many have heard about it, but few completely understand it, how it can be used, and how to keep data that you store on the cloud safe.
