We've used the Lenovo T-Series for our Public Safety folks for over 15 years. We currently have about 30 T570's out in the field.
In the last month, we've had about 10 show a "bad internal battery" error.
That's a third of the fleet, which seems like a pretty big number of failures all within about a 30 day timeframe.
Anyone know if this is the first T-Series with an 'internal battery'? In all of our years using T-Series laptops, this has never been an issue for us.
Sure, the removable battery can eventually go bad, but that was pretty simple to replace.
A little salt on the wound is that Lenovo doesn't seem to carry the OEM internal battery, so that means i have to go with a 3rd party, which would not be my first choice.
Is 5 years too long to expect a laptop to work? I mean, they all still work GREAT, except for this internal battery failure issue.
Any thoughts from the hive?
