好きなガジェットの話、最近買ってよかったもの、長く愛用しているもの、気になっているもの、便利な使い方、仕事や趣味で活躍している機材など、自由に持ち寄って楽しめる回です。

「これを見てほしい」
「ちょっと語りたい」
「他の人の推しガジェットも知りたい」

そんな気持ちで、気軽にご参加ください。

今回の内容

今回は特定のテーマを設けず、ガジェット好きが自由に集まって話せる会として開催します。

たとえば、

・最近買ってよかったもの
・長く愛用しているもの
・ちょっとニッチだけどおすすめしたいもの
・仕事や趣味で役立っている機材
・みんなに見せたい、触ってほしい一品
・自作ガジェットや開発中のもの
・失敗談や試行錯誤の記録

などなど、内容は自由です。

※ Lenovo製品以外のガジェットももちろん歓迎です。

会場では、実際にガジェットを見たり触れたりしながら、参加者同士で交流できる時間も予定しています。
「聞くだけ」でも、「語る側」でも楽しめる会です。

This time, the theme is simple:

Anything goes.

Whether you want to talk about your favorite gadget, something you recently bought, a device you have used for years, a tool that helps you at work, or a piece of gear that supports your hobbies, this is the place to share it.

About This Meetup

This meetup has no fixed theme.
It is a casual gathering for people who love gadgets and want to freely share, discuss, and enjoy them together.

Possible topics include:

• Gadgets you recently bought and liked

• Devices you have been using for a long time

• Niche but highly recommended items

• Gear that helps with work or hobbies

• Something you want others to see or try

• DIY gadgets or projects in progress

• Failures, experiments, and development stories

Gadgets from any brand are welcome.
They do not need to be Lenovo products.

We also plan to have time for hands-on interaction, so participants can see, touch, and discuss actual devices.

Whether you just want to listen or want to present, you are very welcome.

Lightning Talk Speakers Wanted

We are looking for Lightning Talk speakers.

First-time speakers are absolutely welcome!

• A short 5–10 minute talk is enough

• You do not need many slides

• Talking about your favorite gadget is perfectly fine

• Bringing a real gadget and introducing it is also welcome

Please feel free to join as a speaker.

Some amazing people have already volunteered to give talks, so we are looking forward to seeing what kind of stories and gadgets will appear this time.

The third Gadget Lab event of 2026 has successfully concluded!

Lenovo Pro Community #8, which was also the third Gadget Lab event of 2026, has successfully concluded!

Once again, we were very grateful to have a full house.
We also had a total of six lightning talks, including my own presentation, making it a very lively and exciting event.

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us!

The venue was, as always, Lenovo in Akihabara.

Around 6:00 p.m., participants started arriving one after another. Before the event even began, the room was already filled with a lively atmosphere as everyone gathered around the gadgets they had brought with them.

During the opening, I talked about how Gadget Lab has now entered its third year, and we also reviewed our code of conduct.
After that, we had introductions from Lab Director No. 1, Yoshioka-san from akiba.tv, and Lab Director No. 2, followed by a toast to officially kick off the event!

Mari-san from Lenovo, our sponsor, also introduced the Lenovo Pro Community.
Thank you as always for providing us with such a wonderful venue.

This round of lightning talks was intense!

Every lightning talk this time was incredibly rich and full of passion.

Generic Lateca-Puta Project

Mushipan-san gave a passionate presentation about recreating the “Lateca-Puta,” an all-in-one radio, television, and cassette device that originally appeared in 1979, using modern gadgets.

The project included integrating a Raspberry Pi to enable YouTube playback, connecting a 5-inch floppy disk drive, and even using AI agents to help design the aluminum enclosure and original keyboard.

It was truly packed with gadget love.

On top of that, the idea of a “Lateca Cartridge” using a Frisk case also came up, and the possibilities just kept expanding.

A home-run-level presentation right from the first speaker.
Absolutely amazing!

Rethinking XR

Yamada Tatsuji-san gave a presentation about XR.

He introduced the world of VR, AR, MR, and the further evolution of XR, giving us a glimpse of a future where the real world and virtual worlds continue to merge.

It was especially interesting to see how this connects with familiar technologies and devices such as earphones, translation tools, and noise cancellation.

It was such an excellent lightning talk that it must have been tough for the “pitcher” to follow!

An IoT Device I Made in the Past

Yuzuneri-san shared a story about an IoT device he had made in the past.

The device was designed to visualize whether the restroom at his workplace was occupied or available, using sensors and a Raspberry Pi.

It was a great example of using technology to solve a small but very real everyday inconvenience.

“Internet of Toilet.”

I was asked to guess the answer, but there was no way I could have figured that out! lol
Still, I really love that kind of idea.

E-Paper EzSign

Sappy Kawahara-san introduced an e-paper device called “EzSign.”

It can be rewritten via NFC and can continue displaying information without a battery. This opens up many possible uses, such as name tags, price tags, or QR codes for donations at study groups.

It was a gadget full of possibilities, while also giving us a realistic look at the challenge of cost.

Denpa Culture Festival Cycle 6 Report

Fukui-san gave a report on Denpa Culture Festival Cycle 6.

Although the event originally centered around amateur radio, it now also features many booths related to electronics, DIY projects, and IoT.

It sounded like an event that would really appeal to gadget lovers.

Since the venue is in Iruma, I would definitely love to join next time!

Lenovo “Modding Club” Activities

We also had a spontaneous lightning talk introducing the activities of Lenovo’s “Modding Club.”

They are working on creating new external devices and apps by adding sensors and devices that PCs normally do not have, while also using 3D printers and soldering.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how the Moai Project develops!
I definitely want one of those boards!

Gadget Lab is making a doujinshi!

During the closing session, I talked again about the future of Gadget Lab.

We also announced that Gadget Lab is planning to create a doujinshi!

The theme is completely open.
PDF submissions are also welcome.

Gadgets, DIY projects, AI, electronics, failure stories, reviews, random ideas — anything is welcome.

We are looking for contributors!

If you think, “Maybe I’d like to write something,” please feel free to join us.

昨夜、ガジェット研究室 日本チームにおいて、2025年最後の活動が行われました。
初代室長 のり(Nori) さんを中心に、 有一郎 吉岡さん、 片野康生さん、Lenovo からは kiyo uzawa, によるライトニングトークが行われました。

Quixotiks Inc., headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, is excited to announce that our "Employment Support Project Utilizing Generative AI and Smart Glasses for People with Disabilities" has been selected by the Technology-Assisted Welfare Association for their "Employment Support Project Utilizing Independence Support Devices" public offering. This is a grant-funded project supported by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

先日、ワクテカ商会の代表ダイスケさんと、Lenovoジャパンの刈谷花子さんと一緒に、東京都渋谷区にあるバイタルストレングスさんのスタジオ（以下、同スタジオ）を、Lenovoのスマートグラスの企画提案の旨で訪れました。

同スタジオは、渋谷駅からのアクセスも良く、ブラジリアン柔術をはじめとするスポーツ各種と、子ども向け運動教室などを運営しているところです。老若男女不問の生涯スポーツ施設として親しまれています。

ここでは既に「DENBA」という健康機器が導入されており、フィットネスクラスや各種レッスン、セミナー等で活用されています。このDENBAと組み合わせて使えるウェアラブル機器として、Lenovoのスマートグラスが期待されており、現場では闊達な意見交換が行われました。

テクニカルターム満載のシナジー提案がなされる一方で、参加者同士それぞれの身体性に即した、個人的な視座からの発見を共有できたのも大きな学びでした。

スタジオでダイスケさんは、

”「DENBA」電磁波ヒーリングマットレスに横たわると、肩の痛みが消える。あまり動かなかった肩がスムーズに上がる”　

という体験をしました。

私自身もDENBAのマットに乗った瞬間、長時間瞑想した後のような深いリラックスを体感でき、その効果にとても驚きました。

以下は、その時の体験をもとにした記録と考察です。

✳︎　”エスノグラフィー的視点”とは、クリフォード・ギアーツが提唱する文化や社会を深く理解するための手法で、文化を「意味の体系」として捉え、その文脈を解読する重要性を礎に、参与観察やインタビューを通じて質的データを収集します。

エスノグラフィーは一般的なマーケティング手法と異なり、質的データを重視し、顧客の行動や感情の背景を理解します。また、文化的コンテキストを重視し、価値観やライフスタイルがマーケティング戦略に与える影響を探ります。さらに、エスノグラフィーは長期的な関与を求め、より深い洞察を提供し、持続的な顧客関係の構築に役立ちます。

1. 瞑想とテクノロジーの融合

筆者は約2年前から瞑想コーチに師事し、瞑想を日常に取り入れています。始めた当初は、定刻に決まった場所に座るのでさえ億劫だったのですが、毎日続けることで集中力や洞察力が向上し、今では瞑想そのものが生きることと一体化しています。

瞑想は心を整えるだけでなく、身体をコントロールする技法でもあり、ある意味スポーツに似ています。技能訓練にテクノロジーが使われていることと文脈は同じです。

2. DENBAとは？

DENBAは、エネルギー波を使った技術で、食品の保存や健康促進に役立っています。食品や水の分子構造を変えることで鮮度を保ち、体内の血流や代謝を促進する効果も期待されています。健康管理やリラクゼーションのアイテムとして活用されており、多くのフィットネススタジオ等で導入されています。

「DENBA」は中国企業が開発した技術で、日本では伊藤忠やSBIが出資しています。微弱な電流で水分子を振動させ、食品の鮮度維持や健康促進、動物ケアなど多分野で効果を発揮。

スポーツ分野では、疲労回復やパフォーマンス向上、怪我予防に役立ち、オリンピック選手やプロアスリートが使用しています。

ヘルスケアでは睡眠の質向上や自律神経の調整、便秘改善、美容効果も期待され、ペットケアにも利用。今後、医療やVRとの連携が検討されているアイテムです。

・瞑想者（メディテーター）である筆者と参加者の体験

普段、誘導瞑想の音源で20分程かけて呼吸を整え、体内の感覚を研ぎ澄ませた後の深い瞑想体験が、シートに座った瞬間から突然ガツンと体験できた。日々鍛錬を積み重ねて体得した正中線（≒身体エネルギーを司る、経絡のような筋道）がインスタントに実感できる。

・ダイスケさんの体験

右腕は普段、肩の高さまで上げるのが一苦労なのに、DENBAに使いながらだと肩の上までラクに上げられる。

あの体験から1週間経過しましたが、肩がすっかり元通り、「上がらなく」なりました😅またDENBA使いたくなってます、、、😢

3. Lenovoスマートグラスの特性

AR機能を使って視覚的な情報をリアルタイムで提供できるのが、Lenovoのスマートグラスの特性です。作業や学習のサポート、音声ガイド付き誘導瞑想などにも使えるため、環境を整える手助けになります。

4. DENBAとLenovoスマートグラスのシナジー

DENBA技術とスマートグラスを組み合わせることで、ボディーワーク系の様々な体験が、よりヴィヴィッドで効果的になることが期待できます。

もちろん、激しいスポーツ（外側に発散する要素が多いワークアウト系）には不向きですが、落ち着いた雰囲気を重視したいセミナーや、瞑想などの内的ワーク（インターワーク）にはとても向いています。

例えばオンラインクラスで瞑想コーチのもと生徒が指導を受ける際、PCやスマホのみで体験するより、スマートグラスを使った方が没入感は当然強くなります。

これをDENBAのリラクゼーション効果と組み合わせることで、より充実した瞑想時間が期待できるのです。

筆者は、両ツールの体験者であり、メディテーション実践者という視座を持ちます。ここからさらにもう一歩踏み込んで考察してみます。

・瞑想ビギナーに テクノロジーのシナジーを

瞑想の敵はなんといっても、”注意力散漫”です。

初学者はとかく、瞑想すること自体に抵抗感が生じやすく、気が散ってしまいがちです。

例え、共に学び励まし合う仲間に恵まれていても、一度でも瞑想に集中できない時間を過ごしてしまうと、講師に対するフィードバックさえも糸口が掴めず発言が億劫になり、だんだんと’自分の体験ベースの言葉’が出てこなくなります。

こうして、瞑想をインタラクティブに学ぶ姿勢を放棄してしまうと、今度は瞑想体験の濃淡を人と比べ、”自分はできない人間だ…”と、自己嫌悪のループに陥ります。そうこうしてるうちにだんだんと瞑想に対するモチベーションは下がり、”瞑想なんて今の私には向いてないからお休みしよう”と、あっさり挫折してしまうのです。

この瞑想初学者の挫折は、 DENBAとスマートグラスのシナジーで解決できるかもしれません。シンプルに、集中力が向上する道具を使えば、良い体験をどんどん積み重ねる確立もあがるからです。

少なくとも未体験のアイテムを使っている間は、ワクワク感は強まり、そこに集中できます。瞑想仲間とは、同じテーマパークの乗り物に乗っているかのような一体感が生まれ、クラス全体のモチベーションも高い状態に保てるでしょう。

瞑想のコーチにとっても、テクノロジーの使用は彼らの仕事を助けます。

身体感覚を拡張した教授が可能となり、より多くの生徒に確実に伝授することができますし、テクノロジー使用前〜使用後の体験を講師から直接生徒に共有できれば、今度は逆に生徒からのフィードバックを集めるギミックも作りやすいはずです。

DENBAとスマートグラスのコラボレーションによって、瞑想体験が実感できれば、ユーザーの生活に新しい価値を提供できる可能性が溢れるでしょう。

We had an incredible opportunity to support "XR Footbath Experience" held at the Shibuya Stream Mae Hiroba as equipment cooperation!

In some of the footbath booths, we designed new experiences that allows participants to digitally immerse themselves in the scenery of Higashiizu Town through Lenovo's smart glasses (LEGION Glasses) and Motorola's AI smartphone (motorola edge 50 pro) during foot bath😎🤟

It was amusing to listen the reactions and opinions of the people who used the glasses and was well received by men and women of all ages, couples, and travelers from overseas.

We also appeared on the evening news wearing a Lenovo cap was big unexpected surprise 🕊️🎉

The temperature in Tokyo was coolly that day, and I also enjoyed a comfortable time soaking in the footbath.
