What’s Your Most Memorable Corporate Holiday Gift?

Discussion

Along with all the holiday parties, it’s also that time of year for corporate holiday gifts. Not counting cash bonuses, what’s the best or most unique holiday gift you’ve ever given or received? It could be a company gift, a Secret Santa surprise, or even a quirky White Elephant present.

For me, the most unique gift I’ve ever given was to a producer I used to work for. He had just about everything he could need and could easily buy whatever he wanted. So, I knew my gift had to be something personal — something money couldn’t buy.

I ended up designing and creating a custom board game based on his production company. The player pieces were modeled after his assistants, and I even shrink-wrapped it to give it that authentic “store-bought” feel. It was truly a one-of-a-kind gift. In hindsight, I wish I’d made a second copy for myself as it would be fun to play it now for nostalgia!

As for the most unique gift I’ve ever received, that’s a tougher call. Having worked for many production companies, I’ve accumulated a closet full of custom show-branded hats, shirts, and jackets. But my most commented-on piece is probably a jacket from The Howard Stern Show episode where Frank Stallone boxed Geraldo Rivera. While it wasn’t technically a holiday gift, it’s incredibly rare — I believe only four were ever made. The other three belong to Howard Stern, Robin Quivers, and Frank Stallone.

So, what’s your most memorable corporate holiday gift?
