Headsets, earbuds, headphones, ear-pods: What's your take?

From the rise in popularity of the chunky-but-cool Beats style headphones, to wireless ear-pods, to the multitude of blue-tooth in-ear devices on the market, to good 'ol fashion wired headphones, there are more communicating accessories to love today than ever!

Although the refreshing variety in options can be exciting it can also, frankly, be annoying. How many communication devices do you have? A few for work? A few for home? This one for talking on the phone, this one for work calls, this one to listen to music?

Different accessories all have their benefits and drawbacks, but when your desk drawer is stuffed with endless charging cords, odd blue-tooth pieces, charging stations, fluffy earphone covers and 6 different options for receiving or emitting sound, it can be too much.

  • Taking stock of your communication accessory pile, how many listening/communication accessories do you own?
  • Next, how would you select and streamline your listening/speaking devices to maximize your productivity? If you've streamlined already, how did you do it?
