In the past, I purchased some thick-plastic Pelican cases (looks like a clam shell suitcase) with foam cut-outs to protect my hardware for use on the road - mainly laptops used for audio production at the time. I could open the Pelican case, flip open the laptop, and use the laptop from within the case. Do any of you use your computer equipment in an environment where rugged protection is necessary and what are some ways you protect your equipment?
