Are you more excited about Thanksgiving or Black Friday?
I used to to be one of those crazy people who cooked on Thanksgiving, then got up at 3AM to get in long lines in the freezing cold. Then they started with Thursday night deals and I became the one who cooked all day, ate dinner w family, cleaned, then ran out of the house at 5PM to shop. I once shopped for a solid 36 hours. I had to go back home and empty my SUV in the garage every few hours. Yea, I'm a shopaholic. I admit it. Now, they start Black Friday deals that last for the week or month. They have killed the fun and excitement. I met a lot of people hanging out in store lines in the darkness waiting for them to open. Now, most bigger stores are open. I've always looked forward to Black Friday over Thanksgiving. We also are a military family and have no family where we live, so it was really just like any other day, except with a whole lot more food and phone calls/video calls to the rest of the family, who was always together, it's actually kind of depressing. I think that's why I have always looked forward to Black Friday. To me, Thanksgiving is depressing.
