Before I purchase any new technology item, I generally search for professional reviews to help me decide on which brand / model best suits my needs. In the past I had used Consumer Reports, CNET and Tom's Guide as go-to resources. Consumer Reports is very good but fairly limited. CNET has more and more advertising but still has quality reviews for many items. Tom's Guide has been my most reliable resource with great reviews on most items. Many of the rest I search on seem to geared more toward generating money through links than providing good content.
