Time Off Around Christmas?

Discussion

Officially, most companies allow for 2-3 days off for their employees from Christmas to New Year's Day. Many people also use some vacation days to supplement that and allow them time to travel and see family. For those still working between Christmas and New Year's Day, productivity may be lower than usual, partially because others (co-workers, clients, vendors, etc) are on vacation. On the other hand, with fewer interruptions, some people may be more productive.

Are you one of those who like to take the entire week+ off or do you enjoy being at work when others are not?

I do realize that there is a specific target audience for this question as there are many jobs that are actually busier during this time period (service, retail, support, etc). I used to be one of those and did enjoy working during that holiday period.
