My Yoga 9i battery is draining about 5% plus per day when shut down. I use it infrequently and the battery is way down whenever I do. I've followed all of the tips / settings I could find and nothing has changed. Yes, I am shutting down (not in sleep or hibernate). Fast Startup is disabled. I've used the bios and powercfg to disable all devices when the computer is off (don't allow to wake up computer) and the software is up to date. This has been an issue since I've had the laptop.
I posted about this a couple of years ago and soon after the battery drained to zero and the laptop would not boot up at all, even while plugged in. I was able to get it to start by removing the battery altogether. I was thinking that maybe the power drain issue was because the battery was defective and not holding a charge.
After using it without a battery for about a year, I decided to spring for a new one (OEM from Lenovo). Unfortunately, I am still having the same battery drain issue. I need to remember to plug it in to charge every few days so that it doesn't completely drain again.
Is this just me?
