I am always curious as to what laptop models others are using and what features they like best!
So what are you using? How did you chose it? How long have you had it and what do you like most/least about it?

So-oo-oo-o, I finally had to trash my Thinkpad last year because the operating system was no longer supported and it was too old to upgrade the operating system. I had to go with a brand X; ASUS. Hurt…
I have a T495 S ThinkPad laptop and I really enjoy it. I love how slim and portable it is and how smooth the keys are. I also love my built-in video camera cover!
I am a software developer for several decades and have used Thinkpads for a couple of them now. Our software runs on Red Hat Linux and Thinkpads have always been very accepting of current releases of Fedora…
What are everyone's thoughts on Yoga X1 vs Carbon X1?
What are everyone's thoughts on Yoga X1 vs Carbon X1?
Carbon X1. Granted its be a while since I have used a Yoga nameplate by Lenovo, but the Carbon's seem to have a high build quality.
We have a few Yoga X1's that have help up pretty well to our daily "abuse" over the last 4 years. Our nurses use them for charting and they are constantly being changed from tablet to laptop mode throughout the day. We require the Yoga format so I have not experience with the Carbon.
I bought an X1 Carbon Gen 9 several months ago. It replaced an X1 yoga Gen 2 that was around 4 years old. Since I rarely used the Yoga as a tablet (it seemed too heavy to use that way), it made more sense to get the X1 Carbon. It is a sturdy but amazingly lightweight laptop. I got the 14" UHD+ (3840 x 2400) 500 nits screen, which is beautiful. In retrospect, I probably should have gotten a touch screen, instead, which I had with the Yoga. Since I have a 27" Quad monitor, it makes more sense to use that for things that for work that records a top-end display. I am, however, extremely pleased with it.
