When I first took over IT for our company, I was recommended the book "The Phoenix Project". It was a good read with real world scenarios in a fictional format. Currently, as part of a work group, I'm reading Learning Leadership by Kouzes & Posner.

Those are very good suggestions Cody. The Phoenix Project seems especially relevant to anyone in IT and it sounds like you got some good stuff out of it. Thank you!
Yes, the Phoenix Project is a good read especially if you're doing Agile/DevOps development work. If your company is in the manufacturing industry, I'd highly recommend The Goal by Eliyahu Goldratt. I'ts a very similar read, tailored to manufacturing, and introduces the Theory of Constraints. However, it's tenets can be applied to any industry.
Also, love to read about people management. One of the books I've recently read "The Making of a Manager by Julie Zhuo
The author was thrust into people leadership at Facebook in a product design role, so I found it very helpful with its focus on people management within a product/design/engineering context.
